Applications for New Service at an Existing House
Please make sure to complete the correct application for your address. Submitting an incorrect application may result in delays with water connection. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact the billing office at 281-367-0935.
In order to connect water service (or transfer it into your name) an original (no copies can be accepted) application, all applicable fees and a copy of the applications photo ID must be submitted. For In-District Property Owners: Proof of ownership of the property is required to be submitted with the application.
Once all of the fees and paperwork are received, our office will connect water service to your property within 36 hours.
All payments (including start up fees and monthly water bills) MUST be made payable to Chateau Woods MUD. Payments made payable to anything other than Chateau Woods MUD will not be accepted.
Plumbing Work for Customers of Chateau Woods M.U.D.
All customers of the Chateau Woods M.U.D. must pull a permit prior to the start of any construction involving plumbing work. This includes but is not limited to : Installation of sprinkler/irrigation systems, installation of in-ground pools/spas, home improvements or additions, or replacement of personal water or sewer lines. Since requirements may vary based on the scope of work being performed, contact the Chateau Woods Operations Office at 281-367-9419 prior beginning any construction to avoid violating the District Rules and Regulations.
Requesting Service for New Construction
All requests for new water service must be approved by the Chateau Woods M.U.D. Board of Directors prior to the start of construction. Contact the District's Engineer, L Squared Engineering, for more information. All requests for approval must be submitted to L Squared by the 15th of the month to be included on that month's meeting agenda.
What is the LSGCD charge on my water bill?
This is a fee that Chateau Woods M.U.D. is charged by the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD) for each 1,000 that is pumped out of the ground. Chateau Woods M.U.D. passes this charge onto their customers as a per 1,000 gallon charge. This is why you will see this amount increase on your bill when your water usage increases.

Online Billing
Chateau Woods M.U.D. offers online billing options for customers. Click the PayClix icon on this page to be taken to the website. Sign up with PayClix to receive billing emails (including a reminder email if your bill is unpaid two days before the due date), online access to your bill and online payment options. Online billing statements and emails are completely free for all customers.

Monthly Board Meetings
The Chateau Woods M.U.D. Board of Directors meets on the 4th Thursday of the month (3rd Thursday of the month in November and December) at 7:00 P.M. The meeting is held at the M.U.D. building located at 10224 Fairview Dr.
Residents are welcome and encouraged to attend the monthly meetings. Please be advised, while there is a section on the agenda for "Comments from the Public," if you would like to discuss something specific that the Board of Directors would need to vote on it must be listed as its own agenda item. Contact the billing/operations office before to noon on the Friday prior to the meeting in order to get put on the agenda.
For Your Information
- Water meters are read by a computer system monthly on the 25th of each month.
- Water bills are mailed out no later than the 1st of each month.
- Bills are always due on the 20th of the month (Customer's are given until the next business day if the 20th is on a weekend)
- A 10% late fee is added to all unpaid accounts the day after the due date.
- If services are disconnected for non-payment a $50.00 disconnect/reconnect fee will be added.
Customers with Trash/Recycling Included with Their Water Bill
For all In-District properties and all properties within The Reserve at Sleepy Hollow, garbage and recycling services are included on your water bill. The District Rules and Regulations state that all properties with active water service must have active garbage service, regardless of if the house is occupied or not.
Trash collection is Mondays and Thursdays and Recycling collection and bulk trash collection are on Thursday. You can view more information about the service guidelines by clicking here or by contacting Residential Recycling and Refuse of Texas by phone at 346-248-5222.
