What is the GRP/LSGCD charge on my water bill?

These are two separate fees that Chateau Woods M.U.D. is charged by different entities for each 1,000 that is pumped out of the ground. Chateau Woods M.U.D. passes these charges onto their customers as a per 1,000 gallon charge. This is why you will see this amount increase on your bill when your water usage increases.

The current rate is a total of $2.03 for each 1,000 gallons that you are billed. Of this $0.11 goes to Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD) and $1.92 goes to the Groundwater Reduction Plan (GRP) that Chateau Woods M.U.D. is a part of (through Porter S.U.D.).
